What size SSD fits an Aspire V5-573G?
looking to upgrade from Hard disk Drive (HDD) to solid state drive (SSD) in order to smoothly run the infamously high RAM demand game Space Engineers. Want to know what size SSD will fit my laptop (Aspire V5-573G) before I make a 150 dollar investment. I'm not entirely sure how the sizes work but I've seen that there are different sizes and getting the wrong size means the SSD will likely be incompatible. Have not modified the PC before, though I have wanted to and almost did try upgarding the RAM myself.

2. Remove dummy sd
3. Remove base cover and then most people disconnect or remove battery to be on safe side.

4. It takes a 2.5 inch SSD

On some computers, a spacer is required if slot needs 9.5 mm instead of 7 mm. From what I could see, I don't think you need a spacer. I didn't see them use a spacer in the videos.....so you don't need to worry about that. You don't need a spacer. Any of the linked 2.5 inch 7mm SSDs should work....or other 2.5 inch 7 mm SSD.
5. memory

Edit: If at all possible, never buy electronics from a place that doesn't have a "no questions asked" 15-30 day return policy so you don't have to worry about your $150.00
