G257HU drivers not installing under windows 10

The Acer drivers for this monitor cannot be installed under windows 10 Pro 64-bit because they are not digitally signed by Microsoft. This seems to be a PERVASIVE issue with Acer monitors. I am reduced to using Microsoft's "Generic PnP Monitor" drivers which is locking me to 60Hz refresh vice the allowing 144Hz the monitor is capable of. While a great monitor, I am considering returning it for something else, like a Viewsonic which does have digitally signed drivers.

Oh, and because their tech support is SO bad, unlike EVGA who responds in minutes, I bumped my question and got it removed because it violated TopS for the forums by not adding any new content. So, instead of addressing my issue THEN deleting my post, they deleted it before dealing with the issue.

Acer, fix your *****. And don't give me the advice on how to circumvent the verification check - it doesn't work. Yiou make you drivers work and don't make me, the customer who paid for the product, fix your issue.

Just purchased the G257HU and am having a similar issue. I have followed all the workarounds for the windows 8 drivers since i cannot find any windows 10 drivers. Nothing works. When I go to update the driver i can locate the folder but it will not allow me to open it to select the .inf file. I can add older acer monitors no problem. The G257HU is the only one that gives me fits.

I'm so frustrated with Acer and/or Microsoft--I'm not quite sure, and after reading your post and finding there are other people with this same type of problem, I think I'm even more mad.

I've had my G247HL Monitor for, like, 9 months-got it about the same time as I got Windows 10.  Everything was fine, but something had me look at the driver one day and I noticed it said "Generic Non-PnP" (I didn't install the mmonitor myself), which seemed odd but I left it alone.

So then,  for no apparent reason, a few days ago the monitor reconfigures itself.  Everything is really wide and I can't fix it.  So I figured I'd just go get the driver from Acer and download it.  No such luck--not digitally signed.

Now I'm jusr really angry. And venting didn't even make it better. But thanks for listening.
