:-( Your computer ran into a problem and needs to restart

So I just got this 17.3"  ES1-711 P1UV refurbished and upgraded from Win 8.1 to 10 Home and I am intermittantly getting a message sayin to the effect .. ":-( Your computer ran into a problem and needs to restart.  Gatheiring information ..."

I am using Firefox for the browser.  Will have a new 8 Gb memory stick in next week to upgrade the Ram.

Any help will be much appreciated.  I think I'm going to like this laptop but if there is going to be an ongoing issue here. I'll go back to an HP, that's been trouble free product for years.  That said, I bought an Acer laptop for my ex some years ago and it's been trouble free for a long time running. Loved my Acer 510 tablet until I upgraded to Win 10 and discovered Acer isn't supporting Win 10 on it and it is dead frozen at the start screen "Welcome to Acer"

I'd like to keep this unit, so any help here would be greatly appreciated!

I would roll back to 8.1 and see if you have the problem there or do a Factory recovery.

If you still have the problem, return it for replacement or refund.

I wouldn't want to depend on a laptop that was messed up from the start.

, but then again, it may just be Windows 10.

On Amazon, the difference between new and refurb is $37.20.

Thanks!  I think the issue is most likely a Win 10 driver issue as it's coming up across the board with multiple brands.

Regarding the refurb price vs. Amazon, it was actually $110.00 difference- worth a shot.  Came through near perfect with two almost invisible scuff lines about an inch long.  Was worth it.  We'll see how it goes. May end up returning and going back to HP product line.

    Again, thanks for responding!
