Touchpad - Issues and Impressions (Predator G9-791)

I have commented on this in another thread but I wanted to have a separate
thread asking for your impressions with the Predator touchpad.

My impressions after the first days with this machine:

- the touchpad feels rugged, I find it hard making smooth movements,
fingers seems to get "stuck" making precision movement difficult.
Especially when moving your finger slowly on the pad.

- cursor movement speeds up while pressing either mouse button.

- haven't found any way to zoom in/out by sliding the right side of
the touchpad up/down which I am used to from all my previous laptops.
Have had Dell, Alienware + other brands.

- 2 finger gesture zooming works but is unstable/slow and takes some tries,
probably because of the rugged movement on the touchpad itself.

Would be nice to hear if anyone has any opinions/solutions to any of this,
have your touchpads became smoother over time, have you treated it
with anything to make it smoother etc..

    Hi,

I'm not  an experiencend touchpad user, but you might have the correct impressions. Is there a spezial Touchpad driver istalled? I have a clean Win10 installarion and I didn't  find a driver.  So there mkight be one on the Acer instalation?

    Hihi,

I too have a clean W10 installation from the factory, I checked the Asus drivers
on their website but didn't find any touchpad drivers unfortunately.

Was mentioned in another thread that this laptop has a Microsoft touchpad
which does not require any additional drivers so anything with different
    functionality might maybe not exist.
