I have a brand new  Acer Predator XB321HK 32” IPS NVIDIA G-sync Gaming Monitor Black 32” 4K UHD 60Hz HDMI DisplayPort.  I lost my user manual and this is problem I am having is when I plug in try to use the monitor all the destop icons are gone, no bottom icons show includiding the network tab.  When I click on settings nothting happens.  I lost my cables as well so I am using a 4k hdmi and 4k diplayport 1.2 together.   Also I have a 980ti  video card.  I am running win 10 pro.  I don't know if I am connecting them in the wrong order or what is wrong, but I really need help.  Even a link to the user manual would help.

Thanks so much!

Try just connecting just the DP cable or the HDMI cable. you should not need to connect them both. Let us know if you are still having problems.

I have a brand new  Acer Predator XB321HK 32” IPS NVIDIA G-sync Gaming Monitor Black 32” 4K UHD 60Hz HDMI DisplayPort. I am trying to connect to my predator desktop (ag6-710-70002). I first suggest connecting the predator monitor using the display port and boot your predator desktop into Windows. Once you are booted, connect the Samsung monitor via DVI or HDMI, then go into your display properties and see if the second montior is being seen.

How are do you currently have them connected?

Currently, I have my predator 17 laptop connected to my xb321hk monitor via hdmi. would not work usisng display port (DP). working fine. Next mission, is to connect the xb321hk monitor & samsung S27D590cs monitor to my predator ag6-710-70002 desktop. Should I use hdmi for xb321hk and hdmi for samsung??

You should be able to connect both monitors using any combination (HDMI + HDMI, DP + HDMI), however, if you are able to connect at least one via Display port, that probably be the best.

Currently, I have (2) xb321hk monitors trying to work them a dual monitor environment. my desktop ag6-710 70002 with a nvideo gtx 980 graphic cards. the card has (1) dvi input, (1) hdmi input & (3) dp inputs.

    scenarios:

desktop      monitor 1      monitor 2     results

                      dp               dp                 dp              no success

                      dp               dp                                   no success

                      hdmi           hdmi                               success

dvi                                  hdmi           will see when cable arrives

Predator laptap 17:  I get signal from the laptop (hdmi) and can extend the laptop to monitor1 - ok.

My laptop dp port  to monitor2 - no signal.

    Predator desktop

AG6-71070002:     desktop (hdmi) to monitor1 (hdmi) ok

desktop (dvi)  to monitor 2 (hdmi) - will see when cable arrives

desktop (dp) to monitor1 (dp) - no signal

desktop (dp) to monitor2 (dp) - no signal

is there a way to daisy chain these monitor?  any tips/procedures i have not tried. any settings to use to capture the dp ports usage better? I set the monitors to dp and i still get no signal from the laptop and desktop dp ports.

    thanks in advance

It is odd that you can't get any signal with Display port. You should be able to get the signal via DP, then daisy chain the two monitors. Have you tried changing the input setting on the monitor? See the image I am attaching for instructions.

Sorry, after looking at the specs on this monitor again, I do not see that it has a DP out that would support daisy chaining it. If you have changed the input, I am not sure why it wouldn't be working on display port. Let me do some checking, and see if I can provide some more suggestions soon.

Let's just see if we can get 1 monitor working via display port. I suggest going into the OSD on the monitor and using the reset option to reset the monitor. Now, power the computer off, and connect 1 monitor to the display port, then power the monitor and computer on. Let me know what you see on the display. If you are unable to get a display, try a different display port if you have one available. Let me know what you see on the monitor, if anything.

First option: tried with predator 17 laptop

use dp cable to dp port - monitor..rebooted finally it came alive..a little shakey..seem like the cable was loose on the  laptop..this is the only way to connect the G-synce using dp port.

    2nd option:  desktop (ag6-710-70002)

    a) used hdmi to monitor 1

    b) used dvi to monitor 2

    results ok..worked

    3rd option: desktop

    a) used dp to monitor 1..changed input to dp - no signal...switched to all 3 dp ports on card..same results- no signal

    b) used dvi to monitor2..input hdmi - good

You want to play games using g-sync.. is there a better dp cable??

Can you send me a PM, so I can look into getting you a new DP cable. I think it may be causing the issues you are experiencing.

    Hi Acer Techincian

I was using G6-710 with XB281HK connected via DP cable. Yesterday was still fine but today no display at all even though the CPU is running. I try unplug and plug again to no avail. It only work with HDMI cable. I only bought the set less than 2 months. Please help.

Have you tried restarting your computer?

Do you know if any updates were recently installed?

Any chance you have another computer with a display port you can hook it to so we can verify if the cable and monitor are working correctly?
