I'm trying to upgrade my Adpire S7-392 SSD to 1tb. I've done all the preliminary stuff, but when I went to open the case to swap the drives, which I've never tried to do before because of the warranty, I discovered the heads on two of the case hex screws are striiped. I have a way to get the screws out budt will need replacements. How and where can I get repkacenents and wgat is the Acer part number? Thanks.

    Hello,

Could you post here a picture indicating the missing screws? Thanks.

The screws are not missing but the heads have been stripped. That is the hexogonal shaped indent in the center of the screw heads have the corners so rounded by too much force the hex wrench cannot get a grip in order to loosen - or tighten - the screws, which means they cannot be removed without special tools and thus the bottom case cannot be removed so that the ssd can be replaced. The screws are part of the set of 11 along the edges of the bottom that hold the bottom cover to the frame. Whether screws from another model Acer ultrabook would work I don't know. I don't have a picture at the moment to post here.

The screws on the bottom of my Aspire S7-392 do not have blue or red circles. They are aluminum or silver colored. So, what do these colored circles mean or to what do they refer and where do they go? Are these for my model Aspire? Where can I get them? Thanks.

    Hello,

As there are two sizes of screws, they indicated the location on the picture. Only on the picture.

May be you'll find them here.
