Member Posts: 2 New User

I bought a s1002 2 days ago and i noticed that the touchpad jumps and skips when i am trying to point something. I've updated the drivers and windows update but i still have the problem. No problems with the touchscreen.

As mentioned in your question, it is understood that you are using convertible PC/Laptop with a touch screen feature. To troubleshoot the issue please follows the steps given below:

-Click the Start button, then type 'mouse' without quotation marks and press "Enter." The Mouse Properties window opens.
    -Click the 'Device Settings' tab.
-Click the item labeled 'Synaptics TouchPad', and then click 'Settings'. The Synaptics TouchPad Settings window opens.
-Click 'Pointing', then 'Sensitivity' and finally 'PalmCheck' in the left pane.
-Drag the PalmCheck slider all the way to the right to decrease the touchpad's sensitivity to clicks while typing.
    -Click 'OK'.

I have the same problem, after working for a while, maybe half a hour, the touchpad becomes unresponsive and sometimes skips and jumps. If i reboot the system the problem goes a way for a while, then it comes back.

I've tried to update and reinstall the drivers, windows 10 clean install, bios update, nothing works.

Sometimes I have to reboot the computer 3 or 4 times in a hour. It is a bit frustrating.

Guru Aid  that is honestly a very generic answer, that does not solve anything. It is actually a bit disconcerting that you propose such "solutions" They clearly have nothing to do with this issue. Acer S1002 doesnt use synaptics drivers.

This is either driver conflict, firmware or hardware i.ssue.
