Acer Iconia Tab W4 820 camera won't work.

When I press the app for camera I get the message "Something went wrong...make sure your camera is connected and being used by another app."  I hope the camera is connected...it's built in. It may be coincidence, but I noticed this after I upgraded to Windows 10.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have seen several cases where you must go to the Acer support site, download the latest set of "Platform" drivers (sometimes called  "other" but always big). And reload the Camera drivers for your machine.

Where do I find these drivers?  I have been on the Acer support site and I did not see any drivers labeled "platform" or "other".

Okay...here is the solution I came up with.  I reinstalled Window 8 on the tablet.  The camera started working again, as it always did in Windows 8.  I used Windows 8 for about a week.  During that time I made a note of the driver used for the camera.  After about a week I loaded Windows 10...and (you guessed it) the camera stopped working with the same message that started the original post.  So I went in and loaded the exact driver I noted from Window 8 and it is now working.

There has got to be a better way of doing this...but for now the problem is solved.

Thank you to all those who posted possible solutions.

Could you pass along the name of that specific driver and where you found the download?

    Thanks

Intel (R) Imaging Processor 2400.  This is the Windows 8 driver that came with the tablet.

After I upgraded from Win8.1 to Win10, some time ago both the front and back camera's did not work anymore. Reloaded the drivers from the Acer website but this did not help. Apparently not all the drivers are Win10 compatible. Tried everything, but no result. After a number of Win10 updates, by coincidence I discovered that the back camera is working again.
