It's windows 10, and I don't get any error message after the logo. The logo just stays on like forever!!!

First of all try to check if ALT+F10 at boot take you to windows 10 recovery and you then click on Troubleshoot - Advanced options.

First thing you may try is the Automatic Repair

if this not work select advanced options again and then command prompt

    once in command prompt type:

    bootrec /fixboot
    bootrec /scanos

    at the end reboot

Alt+F10 isn't giving any response, acer logo still remains on the screen.

are you able to enter BIOS pressing F2 and check if your HDD/SSD is listed and under security tab if password is set as clear?

then i suggest you to create a bootable windows 10 media:

and boot from it and try with commands as on my previous posts

I pressed F2 on start up and some technical stuff came up. However, HDD password is clear. So where do i go from here?

on BIOS, please enabled F12 boot menu, then press F10 to save and exit.

the only way to try to fix your laptop is to follow instructions of my previous posts, creating windows bootable media and then boot from them.
