Predator Z35 warranty return

Had my Z35 for a months now and not been happy at all with it.

The main issues are the extreme ghosting in dark scenes and also colour banding (extremely bad in in anything lower than 1080p quality)

Ive started to notice backlight bleed in both bottom corners which wasnt there before.

I`m thinking the monitor must be defective as I cant imagine a monitor with this price having these issues.

So my question....

I`ve contacted Acer support to arrange to have it checked but in the reply email it says I need to package it up to be shipped back but I cant use the original box as if I do they wont send the original box back... Is this correct?

I want to keep the original box for transporting or for when I eventually sell it on.

I sent my Z35 into ACER for repairs. They ask you to pack it up in the original box as the box is designed to protect the monitor from damage during transit.

They will return the monitor to you in the original box again once they have finished checking it.

    Good luck !

This is not true in all regions. In the US for example, we do not return your device in the box in which it was received. Our repair center is unable to maintain packaging through the process of repair, and we're able to aquire specialized packaging for different equipment that meets or exceeds the original packaging.

Aahh good to know then ! I guess it might be different here as ACER outsources it's repairs.

    Thanks Cory
