Hi, My aspire AX1470-UR30P is showing symptoms of a bad video card, Sometimes the monitor turn into lines and colors. I tryed with my Samsung 1080p Television with theHDMI port and cable and the same happens after a while watching Netflix. If i shut down the machine and wait a few minutes she  start again till happen again.

My question is the video card on the AX1470-UR30P is replasable or part of the mother board? It is apart can i upgrade it or the stock one is the only solution?

I found the mother board new at good price but i like to know before buy it.

Your system has AMD Radeon HD 6410D as video card but it's integrated, by the way there's a pci-express x16 slot that you can use to add a VGA card (if your BIOS has an option to disable the integrated VGA).

you have 2 things to check (and i suggest you to talk with a computer shop)

    1) if PSU will able to handle an additional VGA

    2) if your case has enough room to add a VGA

The BIOS have, AMD-G (enable/dissable). The other  option is the Graphic controller but this stay enabled no matter how many times hit dessable.

Isn't more easy to change the complete motherboard for $69.00 + $15.00 shipping?

Really i tried to search about the VGA card and not find any concrete or maybe i don't know what i'm looking at.

you can disable that option if you have an additional VGA card connected to the PCI-EX 16x slot.

for sure changing your motherboard will be cheaper than looking for a VGA.

have you turned off the integrated VGA?

if not, try to connect the monitor to the mainboard instead of the new VGA.

you can try to do a CMOS reset too, check on google:

    x1470 clear cmos

first result with a manual has the correct instructions.

Reset the CMO and load the default BIOS set up.

    Installed again the VGA card.

Disabled the AMD-G on chipset controll.

But i can't disable the Integrate gaphric control on Peripheral systems ( It's always in black instead of blue).

    Turn ON PCIE Control

The system recognize the HD6450 AMD RADEON VGA card and downloaded and installed the software succesfully, But

when i go to check in VGA External display still running the HD6410 integrated card.

This maybe cause i just trying the HDMI cable on the New VGA card? I'm waiting for the VGA cable on the mail.

i will check the BIOS version.

    no HDMI is correct.

i don't understand if you are now connected to HDMI and it's working or it's working only connected to the integrated VGA.

please update the BIOS, if the option to disable integrated VGA is still not available, try to set a supervisor password on BIOS, reboot, re-enter BIOS and check if the option is now available.

IronFly, Today received my VGA cable installed the video card again and select disable AMD and enable Power PCIE devices on the upgraded BIOS.  I can't disable integrated graphic control with the new BIOS either.

Try to change settings on Video card name but don't let me. Installed the VGA cable on the card and monitor to try and no signal message was displayed.

Any sugestion? I have a feeling like i have a new $50.00 paper weight.

that's strange since your system has a FRU list with a lot of external VGA but BIOS seems to have internal graphic adapter always enabled.

the only other thing to try is to disable the integrated VGA on windows Device manager

    boot in safe mode

    enter device manager

right click it the integrated VGA and choose disable

    shutdown

plug your monitor to the new VGA and then turn on.

If i disable the intergrated VGA and the other won't work. How can i enable the integrated VGA?

Good question, i don't have a direct experience about it, but i think that unplugging the external VGA and rebooting will re-enable the integrated VGA.

in the worst case...a new windows installation will re-enable it.
