from AMD/ATI video settings, are you able to select 144Hz on monitor frequency?
have you installed monitor drivers?

please notice that some corrupted colors can appear if you use the Acer ICC profile.
you can use the XB270HU ICC profile from TFTcentral (very good profiles here)

you need to install manually
from device manager, Monitor, double click on your monitor, choose drivers tab, click on update drivers, select to choose the driver and browse to the folder where the files are and install it
about Frequency, do it from the ATI control panel.
