ACER W4-821: sound disappeared after BIOS upgraiding

After upgraiding BIOS from 1.13 to 1.16 on my ACER W4-821 on Windows 10 sound totally disappeared.

I reinstalled Windows 10 3 times (using various Win versions: 240, 586, pre-release) but sound is not switch on, therefore the problem is not linked to Windows 10...

How I can downgrade my BIOS to 1.13? Is it any legal pathway to do this?

Thank You in advance!

I suddenly fix the problem by testing various drivers to  Intel SST Audio Device (WDM). Smiley Wink

The only one driver functional (amongst 5 including latest) - 603.9600.1948.25487, 30.09.2013

I have an Acer Iconia W4-820-2882 that I have Windows 10 installed on.

I believe it came from the factory with Windows 8.1 preinstalled.

Today Windows 10 had an Update or Upgrade (can't remember which) but,

my sound and microhhone neither one are working now!

They were working just fine before the Update/Upgrade.

There was no BIOS Update for me, just the Windows 10 Update/Upgrade.

I did Revert back an older Windows 10 Build, but that didn't work.

I've tried other Drivers for the Intel SST Audio Device (WDM), but nothing worked.

I'm currently in the middle of a Clean Install back to Windows 8.1.

Anyone know what Update or Upgrade might have caused this problem?

    Any advice would be appreciated.

I had Problems with an Update on my Acer Aspire V5 573p-6896 Laptops, also with the Realtek Sound!

I was advised (by Windows ) after the Update to Reinstall Dolby v4 Software on the Laptops.

The reinstall was secuessful and the sound is woking fine on my Acer Laptops.

I wasn't however prompted to reinstall anything on the Tablet.

I did get a windows stating there was a problem with the sound and had me click a Fix Now Button.

After clicking on that button it restarted.

Once booted into Windows it shows the Speakers and the Microphone are fine, but neither work!

I'm sure it has something to do with Drivers, just not sure what drivers will work?
