Right, I've had this for a week, I can set an alarm to wake me up but how can I snooze or turn it off.

I have set the volume button as the snoozer - didn't work

I have set the volume buttons as the dismissed - didn't work

The user manual isn't much help.

Any tips ?

    are you using Clock application?

on my Acer smartphone with 4.4.2, setting Volume as Snooze or Dismiss, works.

Yep, it's the stock clock app from Acer.

Nopo, the vol-up and vol-down buttons aren't doing the trick

if you have a screen lock, can you try to disable and check if volume buttons works?

    This morning ------

after setting the alarm time, I set the clock to "Night Mode"

    alarm goes off

Volume Up button (made the alarm get louder)

Volume Down button (nade the alarm become more muted)

    No Alarm - dismiss

    No Alarm - snooze

No other suggestions, apart trying a factory reset to check if it's a bug or a momentary software issue.

    settings/backup&reset - factory data reset

At this point we need to wait other A1-840 users, that have the same issue.

I checked on my A1-840 and was able to snooze the alarm by clicking the alarm icon and sliding it to the left while the alarm was going off. Sliding it to the right turns the alarm off.

The alarm icon doesn't seem to slide , I'd include a screen shot of the clock/alarm except this website is giving me a weird "unable to complete previous operationdue to low memory" message.
