    Hello,

You can try the second procedure of this webpage.

If he gets BSOD at startup, it means he cant start windows at all, and can not do that hard reset procedure.

The best way to recover it I think is from a usb recovery media.

I did this on a unit a while back. I have two of these w1-810 and when I got the first I did make a usb recovery stick.

Then I got the other one second hand, and it was locked, so I used the recovery from the first and succesfully restored it. But the recovery files contains the whole OS and are to big for me to post anywhere.

The best option is to find someone with an identical device that lives close to you, and get a recovery. Or perhaps bring an empty usb stick to a computer shop that have a demo device available, and the seller is kind enaugh to let you make a receovery.

Or you could try to just download any 32bit win10 or win8.1 version, and put it into a bootabke usb stick and try to install windows from scratch.

Last option, if all else fails you may try to install android on it.Use a usb hub, to connect a usb keyboard, a supported wifi dongle, and a usb stick with android-x86 on it.

You will need the external wifi stick, because the internal wifi adaptor is so far not supported by android-x86.

Also you can choose to run it from the usbstick for testing first, in case you dont want to install in on harddrive.

I just stumbled across this thread that might be useful for you if trying to install windows from scratch.

The device in that thread is the w3-810, but I think it will be similar for W1-810. Look at the accepted solution at post 2:
