Hello everyone,

few days ago my gf9600m 512 mb died in my laptop, after rebbaling it worked for another 3 days and again died, i bought a new one - 9600m 1gb and after i installed it the laptop wont respond. When i turn it on it restarts itself once and after that turns on normally, i cant see the acer splash screen, no backlight on the LCD. Already tried to change RAM, tried to start it on the HDMI port (with and wo the LCD screen plugged to the mainboard), tried to start it with and withouth the GPU (im 100% sure its working, bought it with a warranty and it was tested before shipping). Any ideas guys?

That means the new GPU doesn't work in your laptop.I had the same thing with a V3-551. I took out the A-8 and installed a A-10 and black screen. Put the A-8 back and it was fine. You need an exact duplicate of your old GPU.

This is the part your model calls for

    CPU INTEL CORE2DUAL T9600 PGA 2.8G 6M 1066 35W KC.96001.DTP

Are you sure? It's the CPU not GPU, sadly I don't have the orginal card anymore and can't check the exact model

I thought all vidio cards were soldered on.

Here are the video cards the 8930G calls for

    MSI VGA Card nVidia NB9P-GS GDDRIII 512M 800MHz 32*32 MXM II w/ HDCP w/ Intersil PowerIC w/DP support Ver. A3 VG.9PG06.006

    Yuan VGA Card nVidia NB9P-GS GDDRIII 512M 800MHz 32*32 MXM II w/ HDCP w/ MPS PowerIC w/DP support Ver. A3 VG.9PG0Y.005

    MSI VGA Card nVidia 9EGEH GDDRIII 512M 800MHz 32*32 MXM III w/ HDCP VG.9EG06.001

Sorry for the late reply (night shifts), the card I have and it was said it's working is a nVIDIA Geforce 9600M GT MXM II DDR2 1GB VG.9PG06.009, still no screen, is it possible that the previous card (the one that broke a few days after rebbaling) damaged some other parts?
