How I can repair the boot BCD after a recovery error on my W1-810

Hi all,

I have a W1-810 Tablet in usage with Win10. After some month of using it, the system is no longer able to boot. Only this message appears on a blue screen:

Recovery
Your PC needs to be repaired
The Boot Configuration Data file is missing some required information.
File: \BCD
Error Code: 0xc0000034

I've found that this error can sometimes happen, and what is need to do to repair it (some commands in the Recovery-shell). But unfortunatly the Tablet has only one usb-port, and I was not able to connect also a keyboard while I'm booting from a USB-Stick. Also a dual OTG-connector with seperate power supply did not help, because it seems that then the Boot-process did not work from USB-Stick. Unfortunatly in the Recovery Windows (win PE or Win RE) is no OnScreenKeyboard avalible, i did not find up to now a way, to solve this BCD-error.

I'm hoping someone here have an idea for that Smiley Wink

Easiest solution is to plug in a USB hub so you can do multiple device on the one port. You can't really get into the recovery options without the recovery image, and that requires the USB drive to be connected. At that point in the boot sequence there's no bluetooth stack and the BIOS trick of using the volume buttons to scroll through a list has been disabled. Something like this might be overkill, but the price is reasonable. If you think you might want to connect an external HD or DVD at some point, grab one with its own power supply instead of an unpowered one. They are not too much more.

Thanks for your response. Did you use this those kind of Dualport-otg adapter? I've one dual-OTG-Adapter which don't work, so I would prefer to buy one, where someone is sure that it works Smiley Wink

Typically with the OTG adapters one port is only for power, and you need each post to be for USB instead. A hub will give that to you, since it's not trying to do the OTG stuff.

    Thanks,

buyed a new otg-adapter with a integrated Hub, and that worked. I expectet that my old otg-adapter had als a real Hub included, but it seems that it is only something "Not-Standardized"...
