    charlief11,

My understanding is that those addons will be sold on our Acer Store. I do not see that there are any addons listed yet, but that is where they are supposed to be sold.

Im also excited about the blocks.. Do you know when they are released?

Im looking for something to expoand my storage space. There is no option to expand the ground model without an external harddrive.

I've too have had my Revo Build M1-601 for just over a month now and I'm looking forward to adding a hard drive block to the system. I just wish Acer could give us some news. It's a little frustrating not knowing when they will be available and how much the additional blocks will cost.

The 32Gb SSD is just too small for Windows 10 and the November update despite deleting the previous version of Windows 10. I'm currently down to just 6GB of free space and don't own an external hard drive.

Ive contacted Acer but they didnt seem to know what I was talking about. Told me its possible to add a hard drive via usb but the reason Ibought this was to get to get away from using cables. Also said the unit was out of warranty and Ive only had it a month.

I'm starting to worry about whether we've all bought a white elephant with this system.

I had to spend £70 on en external hard drive just to get my new PC up and running properly.

I wish Acer would assure us Revo Build owners that there is something on the agenda with the add-on blocks.

Guess we should be able to refund the computer then..

If they cant keep up the promise they made as for the add on blocks, then they should pay the buyers, who believed in them, and bought the first product in a series of products.

I also like the look of the unit, small and cheap but I would need a Graphic Module to make it work for me.

Any idea if they are to relase any

STILL NO IDEA WHEN ADDONS ARE AVAILABLE. HAD A CALL FROM SOMEONE AT PC WORLD HE HAD NO ANSWER AND SAID ACER WERE A WASTE OF TIME AS THEY DIDNT KNOW WHAT HE WAS ON ABOUT. THE SAME RESPONSE I GOT. IF THEY DONT BECOME AVAILABLE SOON THEY SHOULD REFUND EVERYONE.

I am now going to contact customer complaints as I am disgusted at the lack of knowledge their support staff have regarding this issue. Ihave contacted them numerous times and no-one seems to know about the product they are selling. I think we have all been hoodwinked and these addons are either no good or were never going to be available from the start.

I too am disgusted at the lack of support or even response from Acer.

I have twice sent a question about the availabity of promised modules through their website at http://www.acerspareparts.co.uk/contact-us/

I've just had a reply from Acer Spare Parts and it seems they are as equally confused as us. I hope I'm not breaking rules here, but here's the reply. Thank you to Acer Spare Parts.

I find it odd that it seems impossible to get any sort of response from Acer. There seems to be no communication from them.

My decision to purchase this system was based on viewing their advertising and the impressive reviews on youtube videos that this system received.

This is my first new PC purchase since 2006. It was meant to replace my trusted, but ageing, faithfull Dell Windows XP system. I have even spent further £40 on upgrading my memory to 8GB and even spent a whopping £70 for an external 2TB hard drive. I've also been looking at adding a more useful hard drive from eBay but I'm not sure if it's compatible despite the description in the sale. See here http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/311482246388?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

Sorry for the ramble but I can't believe that there aren't more complaints from M1-601 owners who purchased this system with the promise of the modules.

    Please help us Acer!!!

I have written to acer to complain about their poor support (see if I get a reply) and that I am also considering going to trading standards asa I consider these items as not being sold as per their advertisements.

Hopefully a bit of good news. I've just found this YouTube official video from Acer that was posted just a month ago.

It looks promising and hopefully we'll be able to add to our systems very soon.

    Regards,

    Karl.

I see several "blocks" on Acer's store now.  Audio, AMD video, and HDD.

I also see another Revo base model UR52 with an Intel i3, 4GB, and an HDD block.  I saw a different NVIDIA video block there yesterday but I cannot find it now.

These blocks are currently available on our online store. Go check them out at https://store.acer.com/en-us/revo-build-m1-601-ur51-media-center   You will need to click the related tab halfway down the page. If you are in a country other than the US, visit http://store.acer.com, and select your country and search for the Revo.
