acer5315 keeps restarting

I was doing some updates and didnt kno my batt was dead.needless to say it cut off while updating.then i cut it back on and it says configuring up dates 3 of 3 but all it does is restart repeatedly.i dont have my windows vista disk.what can i do?

    What kind/version of updates were you trying to do?

    Press F8 while booting then go to safe mode. If it can, go to system restore and choose restore point before the update.

    Installing drivers I think.my gf was doing it on my computer

    OK. Do a cold boot while holding the Alt key and tapping the F10 key to try to enter the recovery program. If it can access the hidden recovery partition, you should be able reset the system to factory fresh while saving your data. Report back.

    It wouldn't let me I took a pic on my phone..it's says Windows failed to load because the system regis5ry file is missing or corrupt

    Is there a way to fac Tory reset it I don't care bout stuff saved on computer...I don't have a e Windows disk though

    OK. You can try to follow this video. It's mainly for re-setting Win7 to factory-fresh but may also work in your case. Let us know how it goes.
