Iconia W4-820 Will Not Charge with Std USB Power Adapter

Purchased my Iconia-W4 four weeks ago, a demo model, the last one. It was packed in the box with an micro USB x USB OTG adapter cable and a power adapter. Back home I discovered that the power adapter was of make Asus, possibly mixed up in the shop. The future buyer of the Asus demo tablet will probable get the Acer power adapter. Asus power adapter with micro USB male connector works fine; specs are 5.2V - 1.35 Amps; looks to be a std USB power adapter. The Asus adapter has an USB female output connector for connecting to an USB x micro USB adapter cable (power adapter with cable came in the box). Purchased a 2nd power adapter with 2 USB female outlet connections to be able to connect my Iconia W4 and my Garmin Zumo390 navigator to one power adapter. Specs are 5V - 3.5 Amps.
The Zumo works fine with the new adapter, but my W4 does not. Charging light stays off. Switched USB ports for he Zumo and the Iconia W4, but same result. Zumo charges, but W4 not. Borrowed another USB power adapter, 5V - 2 Apms, and again the Zumo charges, but the W4 still does not. Also tried different USB adapter cables, but the same; Zumo charges, W4 does not.
How is that possible? Cannot imagine the the difference of 0.2 V between the Asus adapter and a std USB power adapter would make the difference. But may be I am mistaken. Searched for power adapters for the Iconia W4 and found several, but all 5V as expected.
Can anyone help out.
Will visit the shop next week again, but if I need a 5.2 V adapter I have to order it with Acer. 5.2 V adapters are not (readibly) available.

Problems solved. On a dark and wet Sunday afternoon back to the shop with the tablet and all the bells and whistles. Changed out the Asus adapter for the original Acer one; 5V - 2Amps (10W). Took some time to find the Acer adapter in the store. Demonstrated the 2nd adapter with the 2 USB outlet ports and it would not work with the W4 tablet. Tried another one and found to be ok. The 2 USB ports have a different power rating, one port is for a smartphone and the other port is for a tablet. Total power rating of the adapter is 17.5W (5V - 3.5Amps); some 2.5 and 1Amps. A happy man went back home again.

Could be the cable, the tablet needs to determine if the connection is data or power and if the cable is doing anything to prevent that determination it'd act like data instead of power.

Mates .... I have a different problem, one fine day the tablet has stopped charging from its original charger, in fact the light always remains on, but tablet would not charge .... any suggestive options to exercise, especially since new charger is never available at Acer stores, and the tablet is known not to charge itself from any other chargers or powerbanks !!
