    Good day

There might be some applications that you might like on Windows 8. First create the drivers and applicaions disc for incase you might even need something like an application etc.

You can load Windows 7 on your machine and download the drivers here:

    Excellent !!!

HID monitor is for the touch screen right ... so that mena my Win7 x64 Pro will be touch screen capable.

BTW, when I select Win 7 Pro x64, the list didn't show any driver.

I assumed the URL given is workable on both Win 7 & Win 8 x64 platform, correct me if I'm wrong.

I bought an Ultrabook S7 as well for my wife, I'm sorry but doesn't matter how much training she gets My opinion is that Windows 8 isn't user friendly as announced. I found Windows 8 too complicated for non-advance users that uses to handle Win7 or Win Xp.

I suggest ACER Developers to start working in a set of drivers compatible with Windows 7 64bit so less advance users have another alternative downgrading Windows 8 as they want. Far beyond this, Windows 8 become useless for my wife.

I think ACER shoud prepared for this event. I currently work as a technical support for a software company and so far I've recevied tons of complains about Windows 8 because it's too complicated for non-advance users.

Please notify if this request is realistic for your developers so I can wait or if I have to take other measurements with this computer.

    Thanks for your attention

I agree about Windows 8 which came pre installed on my S3.

However, I have managed to have a very effective Windows 7 look now, avoiding all this charms 'business' and quite frankly (for a non-touch screen model) an unsuitable OS.

Try to google Start8, this fixed it all for me. Brings back the old look and feel.

    Just a suggestion....

I did that already, big change but while she's working  suddenly screens just dissapeared making the use of computers very unpleasant and I don't want her to get frustrated because newer systems are supoused to come to make users life easier.

Let's see what additional options ACER brings in within the next 2-3 months.

    Thanks

I just dual booted winodws 7 and 8 on my s7 191, works great, didn't have to do anything special for the drivers.

Just use the drivers for the s7 191 on windows 8. worked  no problem.

u have to disable uefi bios and go legacy and delete the windows 8 partitions to and then install windows 7 first.
