Acer x34 repair Temple,TX

Update on repair in Temple, Texas Acer repair. -

Now on business day 9 (14 days total) on repair of my defective Acer X34. Status says "under repair " customer support says it's "awaiting spares". Purpose of repair was ambient light bar would not function.

Will keep posting here up to the day I receive my unit or a new replacement.

Hopefully this will help anyone else thinking about sending their X34 or any other unit into ACER for repair in the United States and what to expect.

I will also include pictures of monitor when it is returned to me .

Dear Acer, this forum will be honest documentation of my experience with Acer repair and also your efficiency of not only quality customer service but also quality of repair. So far I've been quite dissapointed with this "awaiting spares" for two weeks non sense. I don't appreciate my $1300 being squandered this way.

    Sadly I have to amend this topic with an update. The monitor that was returned ended up having dead pixels that I had not noticed before. Whether or not they were present when I sent it in for repair I cannot say for sure. I did have to send this monitor in for RMA a SECOND time. Acer replaced the monitor with a new one claiming monitor was faulty( what they should have done the first time). I promptly sold the replacement.

    Hi Theorem,

     

    I'm sorry for the wait and I get that you want your monitor back and work. I was able to find your repair order and I've asked a few groups to review and see where we can help. We normally try to keep our turn around times to 7-10 business days and unfortunately in this situation, the part the technician needs is having to be sourced and brought in to complete the repair. I'll keep checking and provide an update as soon as I can.

    Appreciate your time and help in this matter, THANK you for your response, I know you are very busy.

    I do feel strongly that it would be fair, considering circumstances ,X34 recent technical history, in fully replacing my X34 and not prolonging the wait due to "waiting for parts". I have thoroughly read the Acer 3 year warranty agreement for monitors and place this decision upon not only the technical team but management and higher tier team members as well.

    Again I do appreciate the response and look forward to a positive expedited resolution and pending continuing to do business in the future.

    Hey Theorem,

     

    I walked over and had a chat with the tech as he was finishing up testing. They got the lights taken care of and everything looked good from my view, but I wasn't the one doing the testing bviously.

     

    They bumped the shipping up to prioirty overnight. Hopefully it's there tomorrow, but with the holidays I can't promise it unfortunately. Again, sorry for the delay.

    Unit recieved on (bizz day 15) with overnight shipping,thanks for the shipping!!!

     

    1.0-Unit was well protected within original box and an additional brown box.

     

    2.0-Unit is working properly with light bar repaired and shows no signs of any other issues so far. 

     

    3.0-No cosmetic damage from repair center or shipping.

     

    I am very happy with the results, thanks Acer team!
