Just got this (it's nice) but there's no recovery discs?  Is that normal?

product keys on BIOS/CMOS are only for OEM laptops/desktops, if you build your own system, you need to buy a windows retail license, so you will have a product key to enter (at least the first time you will install windows 10)

yes, it's normal and i suggest you to create one; you need a 32GB USB flash drive.

press windows logo key + s

    type

    recovery

click on Recovery control panel, click on Create a recovery drive, double check that "backup system files......" is ticked, click on next and follow onscreen instructions

Thank you for the reply.   Just wanted to make sure it was normal that I didn't get discs in the AG6-711 Predator series.

What about the Windows 10 license?  It's not on the side of the case, like they usually are.

They've probably hidden the licence stickers inside the case, so you'd need to take off the side of the case and look inside the door/bottom (Not sure about this case but I expect there's a button to press on the back to open the side panel).  Either that or they are stuck on paper with any documentation that came with your purchase and you'll need to keep that paperwork somewhere safe.

Nope, no stickers or any document with a product key.

it's all on the BIOS/CMOS chip, so you can't lost the product key. Smiley Very Happy

any windows 10 installation will automatically find the embedded product key.
