Hi,

so i got my predator X34 today.but i seem to already have some problems with it

I cant get 100hz as advertised.my max is 95hz. If i choose 100hz all i get is a black screen with a white horizontal line at the top of the screen that flickers. Smiley Sad

Update:after reinstalling nvidia drivers the black screen is gone. but now instead on 100 hz the entire screen is flickering but is visible. Close but no cigar Smiley Sad

i have tried 2 DP cables. my own accell 1.2 and the cable that came with the screen.

while playing at 95hz+gsync i sometimes get a milisecond of a black screen ? just need to tweak graphics option in game to fix this ? or could this be due to the screen ?

other than that all is well no blue banding, WFS etc.

My Rig: (if that can help anyone to solve my HZ problems)

evga 980 ti SC

16gb corsair DDR3

intel 4670k i5

Msi Gaming 5 Motherboard.

Nvidia Driver: 359.00

Any help is appreciated.

You could try a factory reset on the monitor, if this solves the problem. changing the DP cable should not fix this problem, as i would guess that this problems are due to the overclock. You get those Blackouts ingame with 90Hz or lower?  i get a 100hz without a problem on my panel, but still need to try it ingame

A factory reset did nothing for me .This screen cant get 100Hz.feels a bit meh after spending so much money.if i cant resolve it ill return the screen. and wait for the competition to come out.

Contacted my seller today here in Norway and gonna return after only owning it for 2 days (i have a september model btw). gonna wait for a new delivery but that will be my last one if that unit suffers the same or other problems i guess ill have to wait for asus to show what they got.

I wonder if the overclock problem can be fixed with a update of some sort.i mean if the reseller takes this back they have to fix it somehow if they wanna sell my screen to someone else? Also after i did a fresh nvidia install i went from total black screen to visible (but flickering) so it may be a Nvidia driver issue aswell.but its hard for me to know since Acer seem to be quiet on this subject.

i cant really find any good info online about whats causing the overclock issues and Acer is not giving me much info more than "up to" 100Hz as i read in the main x34 issue thread somewhere. They they sure arent shy about advertising the 100Hz text on all the x34 adds...

Probarly gonna be my last time i get screens from Acer if this ends up badly next delivery.
