This combo tabl;et and "Laptop"??? has become useless. As there are only 2GB of Ram, it is almost full before you download any apps. I have a 32 GB Flash Memory card, but I will be *bleep* if I can figure out how to transfer apps to the card so that I can use the Tablet or Laptop. I have been using computers since the days of punch cards, and my first computer was an Atari 800!!!. (I always seem to pick the wrong company!!!)I have solved problems with every piece of equipment I have used, but I'll be *bleep* if I can figure this one out!!!! I have searched the user manuals, gone through every setting on the *bleep* thing, and cannot even find a MENTION of how to use the Memory card. Two ACER products, and two useless doorstops!!!!

Can somebody please help me with this. I know the solution will be simple and I will slap my head in disgust, but right now I am ready to dump my Tablet and my Switch into the nearest river, but they would probably start working then!!!!!

Ram doesn't matter on downloading or installing software but only on running it.

    about microSD:

you can install software/applications on it, just need to point the installer to the microSD path (normally D: ); about moving it, read the link above.

    I'm not an Acer employee.

Picture of my wifes not as good as system as yours posted.

Sorry your having problems with your Hybrid. IT is something that one needs to get used to for sure.... I can't speak for sure why they were made, But in my way of thinking, I don't think they were desigened to be someones Main computer; but more of a Commute, hang out at the coffee shop, watch some youtube or check emails and play on facebook, share with friends and family photos. Main reason for these I think was for speed and longer battery life, No moving parts like HDD or fans...

on yours it is nice with the magnet screen to base, can be set up backwards and in Tent style. However if you do loads of DOWNLOADS or have loads of web surffing going on I am sure TEMP files can add up.... My wife has one that has a 32gb SSD and it was using 8.1 from a different company only because it was pink, that I updated to 10 for her.... main reason is so she can have better control to where her files go. So also bought her a 32GB SD card for when she is out and need to save pictures or what ever if she isn't connected to the internet where she can save to the Cloud, When she is home she can use her main computer if she wants, or at least save her files over the NETWORK to her Mapped drive.... I know this is not something that is setup for everyone, and not all people is setup with a network like ours.

I would say if you are using this as your main computer, I would get an Ext Hard drive or some larger then 32 gb SD card. When you put your card in your computer did the computer recognize it? Making it D:\? If it did you should be able to make folders on it and then take your pictures and copy them to your D.  Like with any computer of the past and I too have had many from past Starting with the punch cards, an atari 400, Apple II,the upto the TI-99, Comodore 64, Tandy 80, TRS 80 II, 8088, 8086, 286 AT, 386,  486SX, 486DX2 66/33 Pentium 33, 66, 75. and so on... I have had more computers then I care to ever try and replace.... Most times I pass them off to family or friends so I can get the next best thing.... It has been a few years now since I have had the buying power of yesteryears,,, I do have my fair share of Acer computers. I don't have any plans to stop buying Acer.

You can go to properties for folders such as Pictures, Documents, and Downloads and relocate them to the SD card under the location tab. You can move most windows apps to SD card if you have the latest Windows 10 November update. You can also use disk cleanup and delete Windows.old. It is large and has your OS befere upgrade. Once you delet it you can't go back unless you have original factory backup on USB.

    Hi,

If you want to install softwares to memory card, just follow this simple method https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0VNsuOpkyQw . I have installed bluestacks on memorycard with this method and it works fine & i hope all programs will work fine. This will save the inbuilt memory of your device.
