The right ram so I can upgrade my laptop.

Hello guys,  I have an Aspire E5-572G. And here is a screenshot of what cpu-z says about the ram in it and the one I found on amazon that almost match it fully, BUT it is pc3L instead of just pc3 like the one in my laptop. Now I know the L means low voltage and yadda, yadda, but I'm not 100% sure they will work in dual channel and that everything will be as good as buying a kit outright. Or am I wrong?

    Hello,

    1. So they will work in dual channel mode with no problems right?
Yes no problems as these are the same memory modules.
    2. same as if bought a kit (same 2x 4gb rams)?
You'll need only one piece. Exactly the same.

  • Hello,

Both memory modules are the same (part numbers). 1.35 Volt is DDR3L. No problems.

Thanks a lot man. But even if they are not 100% the same cause pc3l and pc3, they will work as if they were right? Performance-wise?

    Snapze,

Sometimes they label DDR3L as "DDR3L-PC3L-1.35V"....and sometimes as "DDR3L-PC3-1.35V".  As Laurent said, DDR3L-PC3L-1.35V is the same as DDR3L-PC3-1.35V

Your computer is designed to run DDR3L @1.35V

Edit: In other words, if you order the exact same part #.....which it appears to be....it's hard to go wrong......especially when samsung is a memory manufacturer.

Edit2:  Since you can clearly see that your ram is running at 1.35V and is therefore DDR3L......I have no idea why CPU-Z calls it DDR3 instead of DDR3L and why CPU-Z says PC3 instead of PC3L.  Only CPU-Z developers could answer that.
