When will Windows 10 be available for Acer Aspire 10?

Been waiting for Windows 10 for my Aspire 10 (convertable tablet).  "Get Windows" icon says "working with partners".  I assume that means Acer, and to resolve compatability problems.  However, after this long, wondering if something wrong with my machine.

You're not alone.  My Switch 10 (SW5-012) gets the same message for Windows 10.  I've been checking for the upgrade go-ahead since July 29th.  I wish I knew why there was a delay.  I want to upgrade to Windows 10 using the default upgrade method, which I used back in July on my non-Acer PC, and not in any other way, unless there's no choice.

I've posted here twice before about this, but I haven't seen an explanation.

I run Windows Update almost daily and install all updates (including the optional ones).

I also run the Acer Care Center to check for needed updates, but there are none, except a Chipset driver update.  That update has been showing up for a couple months (?), but does nothing when I click to update.  That problem has also been documented on this site by another poster.

I'm still getting the "We're validating Windows 10 for your PC" and "working with our partners" messages for my SW5-012 running Windows 8.1.  I purchased the PC almost exactly 1 year ago.

Additional details state only "Your PC is set up to log in automatically.  After upgrade, you may have issues logging in."  That doesn't sound like it's preventing the upgrade, but is just a warning.

I changed to manual login almost a month ago and forced a rerun of the appraiser yesterday by temporarily setting the PC's clock to 12/1/2015.  The new report says exactly the same as the old one: "You're good to go!".  All hardware, apps, and data items are checked green in the report.  The Get Windows 10 message still has the same "validating" and "partners" statements.  The additional details say the same thing about automatic log in.

I've applied all updates that Windows Update has presented, including the optional ones.

    Does anyone have an ideas?

Grasping at straws, the only thing I can think of is the Chipset Driver update in the Acer Care Center, which has been showing up for months, but does nothing when I click to install.  That has been noted by another user in another thread some time ago.

I want to use the standard Get Windows 10 upgrade path as I did on my non-Acer PC in early August, unless there's no alternative.

Is there any way we can get Acer (or Microsoft) to explain the delay, and provide us with a better estimate of availability than "in a few days or weeks"?

I posted the question last week and was able to upgrade to win 10 following the instructions from the link Ironfly provided. You also need to have folders such as documents not relocated to SD card. I had install errors untill I changed the to default location. You can move them back after upgrade. Windows 10 also does not allow onedrive to be moved to SD card. Here is the thread:

    Upgrade to Windows 10

I'm not really asking for a way to force the Windows 10 upgrade, given that the Get Windows 10 app recommends I wait.

I'm asking whether anyone knows what's causing the delay and when it will be resolved?
