Z200 Freezes after receiving call

in 2015 Archives

I have a strange problem by my wifes z200 dual sim when i encrypt the phone it gets freezes after receiving an incoming call. Must take battery out. It happend only after encryption When i wipe the phone and do a factory reset it works again. When i started encryption again without any installed app the phone hangs again after encryption?

 

Latest Android software is installed. Any thoughts?

    Done some more tests but its definitely a bug in Acer-Android. If you encrypt a Z200 Dual Sim you cannot receive incoming calls anymore when phone goes in sleep mode (hibernate mode) Sometimes screen blink up and hangs another time it just hangs direct. Done this test on 2 Acer Z200 phones.

    Hi Lee-0,

     

    I got confirmation that this issue being corrected in the next Over the Air (OTA) update. I don't have an ETA, but I hope the confirmation that this is addressed will help for now.

    I was to soon happy, i test a hole day after the new update. When in encrypted modus you can only receive incoming call in around 10 minutes after the screen goes black (standby)
    If you receive incoming call after around 10 minutes when the phone is standby the phone goes totaly dead when you receive a incoming call. You see nothing hear nothing it just goes dead.
    The only way to put your phone on again is to take out the accu. On/Off button doesnt work then.


    I dont know where this update was fore but not for the encryption.

    I'll ask what the update was for to ensure that this issue is what it was meant to address. I'm out of the office for US Thanksgiving for I don't have the information readily available.

    I'm traveling this week so I'm a bit behind.

     

    I did receive word that the update you received DID NOT address this issue. Unfortunately, it did not make it in time for the qualification process. It is expected to be available in the next update. I did not receive any ETA, but I've asked and one is shared with me, I'll post it here.
