    Hi, I have an Acer Aspire VN7 791G. What is the best way to make full use of the storage?

     

    I have a C drive of 117GB and a D drive of 913GB.

     

    Under System > Storage I have an option to change where my apps, document, music, pictures and videos are saved by default. Should I change these defaults?

     

    Should only programs be installed to C and all documents music etc to D.

     

    Any suggestions appreciated. Can't find anything in the manual about optimal set up or usage of the drives.

      so in my opinion:

      programs on C, to have a faster load

      other files on D, as data storage

      I'm not an Acer employee.

      it depends if your laptop has only one HDD or SSD+HDD.

       

      please check under device manager - disk drives

      how many HDD/SSD are listed and report it here.

      • 8 GB, DDR3L SDRAM
      • 1 TB HDD + 128 GB SSD
