    You are quite welcome.

Installing the driver on your system:

    1. Open the folder containing the downloaded file in File Explorer.
    2. Right-click the downloaded ZIP-file and then click Extract All Files. Double-click the folder that has the same name as the downloaded file.
    3. Right-click the setup.exe or install.exe file and click Run as administrator. When prompted, click Yes or Allow to continue to start the installation routine.
    4. Follow the on-screen instructions to perform the installation.
    5. Restart the system when the installation is complete.

You are far from alone with this problem....I do not understand why Acer cannot just send out the appropriate drivers to automatically download and fix this problem.Woman Mad

thanks for replying - it is not helpful to tell us all to look at the 'thread' i am not a technician and i havent the faintest idea where to look for drivers or which one and why should i ?   why should I be made to do all this with a brand new latpop?  btw i bought mine in Argos - i dint think i would be able to return it  - as far as i can see there has been no apology or acknowledgement  from Acer regarding this problem.  They want us all to go away - or pay someone else to fix their shoddy product.

Isn't it possible for the driver to be downloaded and installed as an automatic update, I am new to windows 8 and not finding it all all easy to use.

Yes, you can check Live Updater for the driver.

to anyone reading this i am a grandma and i did this - albeit relectantly - in step 3 when you open the folder its full of stuff so scroll down the list and find set up and then click it.  I did this process 20 mins ago so fingers crossed VERY tightly that it will be fixed Smiley Happy

Acer V3-571 with Qualcomm Atheros AR5BWB222 Wireless Network Adapter, keeps dropping wirless connection

my v5 touch also having internet disconnection issue after ran for ~15mins and not able to re-connect back again!!! Have to restart it, but each time, it will alwyas disconnect after ran for ~15mins. already serviced by ACER for 3x, replaced the wrieless adapter twice + refresh the driver to the latest version, yet still face the same problem... sigh!!!

I have exactly the same issue. Have tried installing the latest driver from the ACER website (10.0.0.217V3), and this has helped with standard browsing (fewer obvious drop-outs). However still have problems with downloading files, so suspect that there si still a problem but the connection is being quickly/automatically reset with the new driver but this doesn't help with file downloads, where a break in connection stops it.

A new, robust driver, is urgently required. This is spoiling what is otherwise a very good laptop....but as it is it is almost unworkeable for online usage.

I have the Acer V771G and the same problems, try everything and calling three times with acer for a solution.

New driver change the bios but everything still the same. So i sent the notebook back to Acer and hoping they can repair it.

I have this notebook only 3 weeks, and i see so manny people having problems withe the V5 and V3 series. So asking myself why it is so dificultfor Acer to make a new driver?? And why we have to wait now for a new one??? I think Acer have to cheque the notebook before it go for sale.
