I'm getting the "displayport link failure" error after the pc wakes up from sleep mode.  All my windows have been resized.  I tried 3 different displayport 1.2 cables.  Running windows 10 with Sapphire 390.  Anyone know a fix for this? thanks

This is a Windows error and doesn't mean there is a problem with the monitor. It is probably something with your specific configuration. I googled the error and see other users reporting this with Saphire cards.

Do you have the latest drivers installed for your card?

Were you having this problem before going to Windows 10?

I've only been running Windows 10 on this monitor.  Tried latest drivers, and older drivers.  Tried Sapphire 390, MSI 390, and MSI 390x with this monitor.  Still have that same error.  I don't want to use HDMI since that doesn't work for FreeSync.  I'm not sure what Windows' settings I can or should change.  I really hope someone have any other ideas I can try.

    Thanks

    Hello,

I dont have any error message, but, most of the time, my screen won't resume after sleep mode, just like you (with the same monitor). I'm sure the pc has resumed because i can ear windows sounds, but the monitor stays in sleep mode. If i switch the monitor off then on, the image comes back. Same if i unplug/replug the display port cable. The issue doesn't appear if I use the HDMI cable.

    Anyone has an idea ?

    PS : I use Radeon R9 380 Asus STRIX

I have been having a similar problem since I got my monitor last fall. If the monitor goes into sleep mode it won't come out unless I power off the PC. Also about half the time when I bring up the PC it doesn't detect the monitor and I have to power off/on again until it does.
