As title. Im noticing that the fan is permanently running since windows 10 update. Anyone else observed this? Task manager shows that CPU is not under strain, but the fan is continuously running. Should i revert to windows 8 or will an update fix this?

I think I'd go to Intel's website and download the current HD 4000 driver for Windows 10 (I'm thinking you are running 64bit, so stick with that version). Unistall the current drivers and remove files, then install the Intel driver before rebooting. Reboot and let it find the current driver then see if that makes any difference to the symptoms...

Sound as if you either have a runaway process or bad chipset drivers. Does Device Manager show any issues?

I previously ran a driver updater program and that updated all the drivers. Now under the Intel hd 4000 tab on device manager if I go to "update driver" the there are a lot of files to choose from. Is this creating a conflict? Should I uninstall, delete all the files and reinstall the driver?
