Hi there .  I will start by telling you i am almost to the end of my pacience with this monitor and before im going to trow him direct to the bin i will try to find the solution here (wich i doubt ).

Question : Is there any way to disamble the most ***** function i ever saw called somehow "signal scan" ?  . It is extremely anoyng that if i have 2 computers connected to this "piece of technology" and i restart 1...he will scan all the f...g ports he have till he find a signal.

Example ...if my computers are conected to the monitor , 1 on DP and 1 on HDMI  ...if i restart 1 the hdmi..he will start to scan all the ports till at a end he will display the DP  . Atention.....i have set up in his option that DP should be prefered or how u call that.

Please enlight me how to close this "smart scan" as i sold my Asus monitor for this Acer....and the Asus one had almost same features connection(3D , 120 Hz , Nvidia 3d incorporated)(but he didint scan if i choose the option do not scan) but he was 2 ms...and thats why i wanted this Acer.

If this cant be resolved ...well unfortunately this go direct to bin ...i will not even try to sell it...he dont diserve to be sold.

    Daniel2k9,

Does it scan when you only have one computer connected to this monitor? Because you have two computers connected it is receiving a signal from both technically, so it is searching for which one is actively pushing a display. If you restart the Display Port one does it scan until it finds the HDMI connection?

He is scanning when he is Only DP (and on osd i have choose that dp should be primary) if i restart the computer. And yes also on DP and HDMI as well if they are connected 2 .

This is definetly from the osd feature and it is really annoyng that we cannot set it off(the scan thing)

    Daniel2k9,

Just to confirm my previous question, with only one computer physically connected to this display it still performs the scan using either HDMI or the Display Port connection?

    Daniel2k9,

After researching this with individuals here the direction given was to have the monitor checked by our repair depot in your region.
