Would make sense as it does point to usbport.sys most problematic might give it a go

if you disabled the Realtek audio chip, what's your audio setup?

    external USB audio card?

are you using windows audio, windows kernel streaming, ASIO drivers?

I'm using external card audio 8 dj high end soundcard specifically for timcoded audio signal if i disable the internal soundcard its the same i have now installed asio4all ran traktor from internal soundcard and ran latency Mon all seems fine i will connect my midi controler and external soundcard tomorrow and see how its running them I'm just wandring if its the driver for the internal soundcard thats causing the issue? Absolute nightmare

if you select the Audio 8 DJ as input/output sound card, Realtek will not give any issues, disabling is better to not having to scratch head with an additional hardware.

about drivers fully updated, do you mean Acer drivers or Intel drivers?

ASIO is low level audio driver, latency can be very low and you can set it even to 1ms if your hardware supports; it's a standard on professional audio productions.

by the way using your Audio 8 DJ will give you better quality.

use this Intel utility to check about new drivers to install:

    https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/24345/Intel-Driver-Update-Utility

in my opinion you need only new USB3.0 drivers.

remember that you need to uninstall Acer drivers before installing Intel drivers.

Think iv'e got to the bottom of it i selected no paging files for my hard drive no dropouts so far still i think a driver issue but I'm not paying acer premium support to tell me they can't do anything about it as i don't think they even know themselves. Even tho my model isn't supported by Acer i did update to Windows 10 laptop worked fine apart from this latency issue. Might take the plung again to Windows 10 and try this page file setting see if its ok as i can't stand 8.1 thanks for your help guys

    You welcome.

by the way HDD access can create latency issues, so disabling paging can be a good choice if you have at least 8GB of ram.
