I have a new v3 571 windows 8 i5 core laptop, purchased last month. Every now and then it will unexpectedly reboot. I am wondering if this occurs especially, but not exclusively , when I am charging and it gets to 100%. It does seem to. The ;aptop certainly doesnt seem to be overheating, anybody have an idea?

well could be a short causing the issue. try a reset of the OS and if the issue remains call into Acer support for further details on what to do. may require repair

I have same problems with my V3, and I'm starting to feel hopeless...I tried to buy cooling stand, but it didn't help as I expected. Maybe the problem is not because of overheating. But I still didn't find any solution all over the internet. Every help is welcome

I would be interested to know if a solution was found for this problem.  I have an Acer E1-571 bought in March that is doing the same thing.  It reboots at random whether I am working on it or it is sitting idle.  According to the event log it happened 92 times between March and May when I reset it to factory defaults.  With just the OS (WIN 8), it still reboots.  If it is running on battery it will simply switch off.

In the event log there is a "Windows Kernal event ID 41 error" for every reboot.

I have contacted Acer support many times and it has been in for repair three times.  Got it back last week, switched it on, reinstalled the OS and nothing else, around 24 hours later, I got the first reboot.

    Any suggestions welcome.

    Hello there!

I have an Acer Aspire V5-571 Series Notebook. Whenever i try to shutdown the machine reboots everytime. And there's a lot more user's with the same or similar problem with an Acer product in the Ubuntu forums.

Has anyone got a clue what's causing it?
