Alright fellow Predator owners,...Help needed

Hey all,...have run into a situation that has got me to the edge of frustration,  Now I am no computer

genius/tech but I have been using/owning/repairing/and upgrading computers for well over 35 years.

But I need a bit of input as I am sure one of you has run into this problem also,...or maybe not.

My Predator G3620 is in my mind (at this point) dead.  The problem is this,...did a restore on the system

no problem,...simple process and I'll be back up and running ASAP.  WRONG. Got the Acer splash screen,

and it went into message mode with "Restore incomplete, restart system". Okay, did that. Then it goes to splash screen,...and then does a self shut down/restart,...and the process repeats several times before

I finally shut her down.

Grab my trusty System Restore/Install USB and attempt a Restore,...no go.  All righty.  Thinking okay,

USB itself or reader may be bad,...so call Acer and buy an erecovery set of disks, and when they arrive,

attempt a system restore,...again, no go. My Predator won't accept Windows set up/programing and goes

into a "Did not install Windows, please re-install again".  Hmm.  Check disks and the System and

Language disks have scratches on them,...call Acer back and thankfully they send a second set minus

scratches and attempt a systen restore,...again no go same message.

At this point I think "Okay lets see if my harddrive is the problem". Remove old harddrive, and put in

a brand new Seagate Barracuda 1 TB and attenpt System Restore...STILL same message!!!  Alright, at this

point, I begin racking my brain, and come up with MAYBE the memory or CPU is bad?? Check the memory

sticks at my Brother-in'laws,...all good. He suggests checking CPU via diagnostics.  One problem,...can't

do diagnostics if the damned computer won't load up!!!

SO here we go, PLEASE any suggestions would be appreciated  right now,...right now I have lowered

myself to using the wife's Compac laptop and it's killing me!!! I am NOT used to sloooow!!! And trust me

I don't want to go and have to purchase another desktop when this Predator is/was FANTASTIC when

up and running.

Do you know that the HDD must be full clean or wiped before using Acer erecovery?

Have you tried to change HDD SATA cable and also motheboard SATA port where is connected?

Have you tried to install windows with just 1 ram stick?

You can also try, without installing, an Ubuntu LiveCD, to test the CPU or system stability.

    http://www.ubuntu.com/download

you can burn it on a CD or USB flash drive

something else to try is a stock windows installation media and check if it reboot as Acer erecovery:

    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/create-reset-refresh-media

if you choose to burn it on an USB flash drive, i suggest you Rufus as burn software:

    http://rufus.akeo.ie/?locale=en_US

and set the partition scheme as UEFI only.

    I'm not an Acer employee.

    Iron Fly -

The Seagate Barracuda 1 TB HHD was brand spanking new and I previously wiped the old HHD too.

Cables are good as are connections.

Will attempt a one stick memory install,...but the chk on the memory was good, or so it said

    when in another system.

Just praying the one stick method works,...hell I hate to have to track down a motherboard for this

puppy, but if it comes to that...I don't want to give up on my Predator!!!!
