Iconia W3-810 tablet won't turn on

I read some people here saying to do a factory reset, but I'm concerned with whether this would mean I would lose windows 8.1 and microsoft office that it comes with. Anyway the charge light won't come on and I push the power button and it doesn't start.

Has anyone did a factory reset and not lose the main programs it comes with, like Microsoft Office? I'm gonna be careful before doing this

A reset done from the Windows menu (where you have the options of refresh and reset) will lose apps. a Factory reset done from either the Acer discs or from the recovery partition (if your SSD is large enough) will keep the Office install image.

That being said, it's unlikely an OS reset is going to affect the charging. Verify your charger is working first! Most of the time charging problems are either a loose connector or a bad charger, the software loaded isn't going to affect charging.
