    Method 1:

    a) Delete your graphics driver

    b) restart your computer

    c) run the intel driver update utility

Method 2 (a.k.a the have disk method):

    a) download your graphics driver from intel website (the zip file--not the exe file)

    b) unzip/extract it

    I'm not an Acer employee.

i tried the two methodes and still it didnt worked

this is the message i got:

    Description
You get one of the following messages:

    • The Intel® Driver Update Utility reports the following message:

A customized computer manufacturer driver is installed on your computer. The Intel® Driver Update Utility is not able to update the driver. Installing a generic Intel driver instead of the customized computer manufacturer driver may cause technical issues. Contact your computer manufacturer for the latest driver for your computer.

    • You are unable to install the Intel® Graphics Driver downloaded from the Intel Web site and encounter one of the following error messages:

      • Error: The driver being installed is not validated for this computer. Please obtain the appropriate driver from the computer’s manufacturer. Setup will exit.
      • Error: This driver could not be installed on this computer. Please contact the computer's manufacturer for further information.

    Information
A customized version of the Intel Graphics Driver may be installed on your computer. This occurs if your computer manufacturer (also referred to as Original Equipment Manufacturer or OEM) has chosen to change features, incorporate customizations, or make other changes to the graphics driver software.

    Solution
To resolve this error, download and install the appropriate graphics driver from your computer manufacturer's Web site. Your computer manufacturer recommends the Intel Graphics Drivers they have customized and validated for your specific computer model.

    Caution
Intel supplies generic versions of its graphics drivers for general purposes. But, the computer manufacturer can change the features, incorporate customizations, or make other changes to the graphics driver software or software packaging. To avoid any potential installation incompatibilities, Intel recommends that you first check with your computer manufacturer and use the driver software they provide.

    Work-around
If you choose not to use the validated graphics driver from your computer manufacturer, you can install a generic Intel graphics driver. However, if you encounter problems using the generic driver, Intel recommends reinstalling the validated driver from your computer manufacturer.

To install the Intel generic driver, choose one of the Windows* manual driver installation methods for updating a driver:

Restoring previous driver: If the Intel generic driver you installed doesn't work properly, or you simply want to go back to a previous driver, perform the following steps:

    1. Open Device Manager, click Start > Control Panel > Device Manager.
    2. Expand Display Adapters.
    3. Double-click on your Intel display device.
    4. Select the Driver tab.
    5. Click Roll Back Driver.

Your driver is now restored to the version it was previously using.

Just lurking this question because I have exactly the same problem with my Aspire E5-575-36UV (with Intel Iris Graphics 550)

Someone really should have a working solution to this.
