How do I stop getting static noise when using headphones?

Hi, I bought my Acer Iconia 8 A1-840 a few days ago. Whenever I use my headphones, I get lots of static when playing games and using apps like YouTube. When listening to music on Pandora, the static noise pops up once in a while and in between songs. Anybody else having this issue?

Have you verified the jack is fully inserted? Sometimes when it's not 'clicked' in all the way you'll hear static. Are the just headphones, or headphones with a mnicrophone?

I have had this problem as well. I tried three different sets of headphones and two different Tab 8 tablets. The noise goes away when Wi-Fi is off. The issue is with the tablets, not the user or earphones.

I bought an Acer Iconia Tab 8 A1-840 two days ago. I returned the first one yesterday thinking that this issue was with that tablet. However I am having the exact same problem of static noise when using headphones or ear buds with the seond one. I have tried several different headphones and ear buds but get the same noise. It is evident when moving from one app to another, listening to music and is particularly annoying when trying to watch a video as it is then a continuous buzzing noise.

I am surprised that there are not more people reporting this problem. I am sure that it is not just my bad luck with the two tablets I have tried.

Has anyone found a solution to this problem?
