I currently have a 500 gb hd in mine, with a 1.5tb coming in.

the specs, max out at 500gb, but they also max out the processor at an i3, an i have an i7 620m in mine with no problems.

So, wha is the largest hdd someone else has put in theirs?

A small database with maxed specs would be nice, but i guess we can build our own.

Well the 1.5Tb drive went in smooth as silk.

I bought a cd-rom caddy to take advantage of the SATA transfer rates instead of USB.

I use Ghost to transfer files and boot record along with the 'system restore' partition.

So, to all of you whom are wandering the size limitations of ur system, it may only be limited by the "OS" and not the bios or chipset.

I did keep the original 500gb that was in it and moved it to the cd-caddy, as it is 7200rpm drive and is alot faster than the 1.5tb which is only a 5400rpm drive. It will allow me to convert movies alot faster with less overhead.

Now the only thing left is to change the motherboard from a 7741Z to a 7741G which has the onboard ATI video with 1gig video ram.

But as of right this second, i think this board is pretty much maxxed out, but running smooth as silk.

Thanx Acer for such a well built system with the abilities to upgrade!!
