hello, just bought an Acer switch 10 32GB. First impression was excellent, brlliiant screen, good keyboard touch.
Now after a few days in the notebook mode, the touchscreen sometimes starts reacting autonomously without touching it !

Looking closely I can see dots on the screen appearing as if I would touch it and so wherever this happens random actions are started, windows are opened and closed and so one. It doesn't happen always, but if, working with it is impossible ! Typing emails for example it might happen that the email window or the whole IE is closed, or another window/programmed is opened while u r typing so all the text ends up there or even worse the email being send before u finished etc.etc.
And no, so far the notebook/touchscreen hasn't been exposed to any stress whatsoever.
Anyone already experienced that ?

Any chance you have a bluetooth device (i.e. mouse) attached and have forgotten or not realized that it's turned on?  I've had that happen when BT mouse was in my coat pocket and I didn't realize I hadn't turned it off.  The device seemed like it was possessed and doing things on it's own.

thanks for the reply, yes I do have a BT mouse, but the bloody touchscreen does that when I actually use it and even if that one is switched off and I just use the touchpad; moreover the "ghost thouches " are so far always on the right side of the screen (in notebook mode).

This can sometimes happen from a dirty screen or screen protector, but it can also happen due to a bad cable connection, faulty digitizer or bad motherboard. Start with the screen clean to make sure it's not the easy one, then contact Acer for a warranty repair if it's still not working right.

If you are out of warrabty, there are Youtubes showing how to tear it down so you can verify the cable is not loose at either end.
