My Asus Geforce STRIX-GTX980-DC2OC-4GD5 does not detect my Acer XB280HK monitor.

I updated my motherboards bios, which is an Asus RAMPAGE V EXTREME/U3.1, to the latest version.
Installed the latest GPUtweak v2.8.3.0
Installed the latest Geforce driver v3.3.06
The pc is running Windows 8.1 Pro.
The Acer XB280HK monitor can only be connected through a displayport cable.
There are 3 Asus Geforce STRIX-GTX980-DC2OC-4GD5 running in SLI.
The DP cable is connected to the displayport connection just above the HDMI connection

on the GTX980 adapter closest to the CPU.

When booting the PC, the XB280HK is not detected by the GTX980.
When I connect a iiyama PLE2773HDS monitor to the HDMI port of the GTX980, everything runs fine.

I tried the Acer XB280HK on a Windows 7 pc with a Nvidia Geforce GTX570,

which has a displayport as well, and that card detected my XB280HK.

I had the iiyama connected to the GXT570 as well.
The iiyama was the primary device and the Acer the secondary device.
So a Nvidia GTX570 detects the Acer XB280HK and a GTX980 does not.

I see on the internet they sell the GTX980 and the XB280HK as a package.
So it seems possible that they work together.
Does anyone has this combination working?

Any suggestion is welcome.

Regards,
Bo

    boschreurs,

Could it be that the DisplayPort on the video card you are conencting to might be bad? Have you tried swapping around the cards to see if one of the others work?

I will try several things this weekend, amongst others, the idea you suggested.

I will post the results here.
