Has anyone out there ever have a problem with recharging an A1-810 tablet?

I cannot hold a charge on my A1-810 tablet passed 11% and I have gone as far as to change the three foot cord to a 9 ft cord just in case it was the male connections that were the problem, so far it is still at 11% anyone have a suggestion? I would be very appreciative for any clues in how I am to make this tablet hold it's charge and go passed the 11% it is now at and continues to be at! I bought it in November of 2013, on the air at an HSN end of year sale. Started using it when it came in the mail in December that same year.

There have been some issues with the newer OSes reporting the wrong values for charge level. When you have charged overnight and it's displaying 11%, how long does it run before it runs out of juice? If it runs a reasonable amount of time then it's just a reporting error, which will hopefully be fixed one of these days with an update.

I tried to get it to move passed 11% by changing plugs then cords nothing worked for three hours, then I just gave up and let it stay plugged in all night...it worked! We are charged and working!!! You know I think I panicked when It wouldn't go any farther the 11% and I still don't understand why it would not hold a charge of more then 11%. It went lower every time I would change electric sockets, or cords, I'd then have to unplug the device which would cause it to plung down, to at one point 5%. That's when I panicked! But leaving it charging all night did the trick. Maybe the problem was that when I did first charged this device it must have been very very low, I received two warnings that it would shut off, maybe that was the culprit all along.I had to finish something I started on-line. Or maybe it was the percentage icon not matching what was actually in the tablet, as you mentioned? I'm not quite sure exactly why and it is very irritating not knowing exactly what caused it to happen to begin with, so I could avoid it happening again! But thank you for taking the time to help me, it is very much appreciated!

Be aware that many of these new tablets that charge through a USB port charge differently depending on what they are plugged into. Their charger is likely to be 2A and it will take the tablet to a full charge fairly quickly. If you plug them into a typical USB port, such as on a computer, they'll only be provided 500mA of power (¼ as much). With the lower power they will only maintain a charge while on and take overnight to charge if turned off.
