How do I obtain windows 8 recovery media?

OPTIONS:

1. If your computer is still working, you can make a factory default backup and also an Acer drivers and Apps backup:

2. If you want to buy Acer recovery media, then follow IronFly's instructions.

3. If you want to do a clean install of Windows 8.1 without Acer apps and drivers:

(you'll probably need to learn how to use the Diskpart Clean command for option 3)

4. If you want both a clean install of Windows 8.1 and your Acer apps and drivers, then combine options 1 & 3 together.  Of course, you'll to need to follow Option 1 first. (and you'll need to learn how to use the Diskpart Clean command).
