I have and Acer Aspire 5733Z. My wifi router is located in my living room, and my computer works perfectly fine there. However, if i leave and go to my bedroom, my computer drops the wifi, like maybe the wifi can no longer reach. But other laptops in my house work perfectly in my room, and so does my iPhone. I have already uninstalled the driver and restarted the computer so that it reinstalled itself.

What adapter and driver version do you have on the system?

Have you attempted to update from the Drivers site?

My driver is Atheros AR5B95 Wireless Network Adapter version 8.0.0.238. I went to the drivers site and there are 4 there by various companies that I don't have installed, but I have no idea which one to choose. Like I said I uninstalled the driver and made it reinstall itself by restarting my computer, so I figured that was the correct one.

Given that you've identified the card as an Atheros, I would suggest downloading the Atheros driver.

You can always run the Hardware Detection tool to be sure.  The link is given as:

Need to know the hardware on your system to choose the right drivers?

Alright so I went to the drivers page and clicked on Need to know the hardware on your system to choose the right drivers?. Then I installed the correct one but it still doesn't work.

The only other available option I have for you is to contact service.

Actually installin the correct driver worked. When you go to the drivers page it only downloads the driver, it doesnt download and install it; I had to do that manually.
