5600U Startup--Blank Screen

I have my Acer 5600U for about six months now. It has Windows 8.1 installed.

It worked fine yesterday. Today when I tried to turn it on, it showed the Acer logo screen, the to the screen that shows time and date, after that nothing. Normally clicking a key takes me to the log-in screen, this time it just become blank. After that, the time and date screen would appear again.

And when I try to access the BIOS, it says it is exclusively for Acer only?

I have no idea what is going on, any help would be appreciated.

    Please power OFF the computer by pressing the power button for 4 to 5 seconds.
    Disconnect the power cord, press and hold the power button for 10 seconds.
    Plugin the power cord and power ON the computer.

    I suspect that my 5600u has a corrupt bios.

    I tried to reset the bios via jumper and that will restart it, I can load defaults and all is good, boots to windows and restarts from windows but only if you are using restart - if you turn it off, it will not restart and you can't access the bios (black screen of death);

    Checked the bios battery and it is good, checked all the components and all are working fine.

    I tried to reflash the bios from windows and it doesn't complete ( I suspect because is the same version)

    Is there a way to force a bios flash direct from a usb?
