Iconia W1-801 won't turn on

Hello everyone. Yesterday, I bought an Iconia W1-801. Everything was fine, I started the device, I "played" with it a bit and then I went to sleep and put the tablet to charge while it was installing Visual Studio.

This morning, I unlocked the tablet from sleeping mode and it was almost finished installing Visual Studio, but, suddenly, the screen went off and I was unable to start it again. I thought the OS was frozen, so I tried to turn off the tablet by pressing the power button for a few seconds, but it didn't work.

I have to say too that a Windows "Blue Screen Of The Death" showed up while installing Visual Studio, but the OS rebooted itself and everything was working fine.

I'm leaning toward a hardware issue... It's just to weird for it to be something else. Contact Acer for warranty support.

Doesn't sound good at first blush... When the power is plugged it, do you get the blue 'fully charged' indicator, the amber 'charging' indicator or the no light, 'power not connected'? That will help determine if the problem is in the charging circuit...

Where is that indicator? Mine doesn't have that on the power button, so I think the tablet you're talking about is not the same as mine. To be more specific, my tablet is this; My tablet.

I think it's not turning on because of an overheating, since the CPU and the display were kinda hot, but, before going to sleep, I was doing more things apart of just installing Visual Studio and it was working just fine Smiley Frustrated

You are right, it looks like the tablets that use the USB port to charge don't have an indicator LED. Are you using the charger that came with the tablet? It overrides the USB power requirements (2000mA) and charges at a faster rate than a normal USB connection (500mA). If you were connecting to a normal USB source it wouldn't charge unless the tablet were completely shut down.

Yup, I'm using the charger that came with the tablet. Before it went off, the tablet was at 96% of battery (I just disconnected the cable in that moment).

EDIT: Somehow, I turned it on again. First, it showed me the charging battery screen, then I powered it up and showed me the windows login screen, I tried to enter my password to access the OS, but the touch screen froze and I was unable to touch anything. I turned it off to reboot it, and now I'm unable to turn it on again. This is VERY strange ._.
