Broken S500 - folder/path contacts?

Hello,

 

I have a S500 with a broken screen(which means I cannot use the phone anymore) and would like to recover my contacts.
Since the screen is broken, I cannot put the phone in USB debugging mode.
I was hoping I could recover the contacts by exploring my files when connecting the phone to the pc trough USB.
Where(folder/path) does the S500 store the contacts?

    as far as i know, if you stored your contact on phone, the path is/was data/data/com.android.providers.contacts/databases/contacts.db

    but you can copy only if the phone is rooted.

     

    if you used google to store your contacts, those are available on your gmail account.

    Well that's the problem I guess, the phone wasn't rooted and I can't remember my gmail account :/

     

    Is there a way I can still root my phone?

    probably yes but we can't talk about root here.
