When I plug in the Acer VGA adaptor to my V5-122P the screen shrinks on the laptop display.

I have tried changing settings in control panel but without success.  I did email Acer but they failed to understand the problem??  The screen on the TV is fine just the laptop screen shrinks

    this happens if you clone desktop between 2 monitor with no matching screen ratio/resolution or you are setting a screen resolution not supported by your VGA (the sum between the 2 screen resolution is higher than the supported VGA output)

    Thanks IronFly problem sorted.  I just changed the resolution and hey presto full screen again
