A200 system update - network error

I have an A200 and as apparently other users have not been able to update my Android system - I'm still running version 4.0.3. When clicking on System Update I get the error "Network coverage is currently poor...".

Is there a way to update the Android system on an A200 our Acer "gave up" on this tablet? The tablet works fine so I imagine that assuming that it is useless doesn't make much sense.

A complete procedure on how to update the system would very welcome.

The error should be stated differently, it really means it was unable to find the update servers, since the servers were shut down some months ago. All final updates are available directly from the Acer support site, but if you were even slightly diligent in doing updates over the years since the product was introduced you already have the current software. They released nothing newer for several months before the servers were taken offline.

The last answer doesn't really help much - as far as I know I have done the updates the system asked me to do. Now why would a company just consider a tablet that is 2 1/2 years old "obsolete" and pull the plug on its support? How would Acer expect me to ever buy a new product from them again?

The major questions still remains: is there a way to update an A200 Android system without Acer's servers working?

they shut down only the "manual check" server, if you ticked automatic check for updates, it will connect to working servers and if any update will be available, you will get a notification.

If you have done the updates then there are no more to do. They closed all their open bugs before the last update release (I assume of course, since we don't have access to their bug reports). With phones and tablets it is very unusual to do updates longer than two years after product introduction...

I have this same issue, but my bigger issue is that everytime I open the play store it fails and closes when I visit any app. I un-installed updates to play store and google play services and forced it to re apply them. after the d/l was complete I got a message saying that play services was not compatable with my device - contact manufacturer.  That's when I found this system update error....  what is the problem here???  any help plz....
